What we collect
Two narrow categories:
- Inquiry-form submissions. If you fill out the contact form, we receive your name, email address, business name, optional phone number, optional website URL, the plan you selected, your timeline, your message, an optional referral source, and whether you opted in for a free site review. That information is delivered to max@mainsail.design via Formspree, our form handler.
- Aggregate visit analytics. If we have Cloudflare Web Analytics enabled, we see anonymized, aggregated information about visits to the site — things like which pages were viewed, what country a visitor came from, what kind of device was used. This is collected without cookies and without personally identifying anyone. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any tracking that would let us identify individual visitors.
What we do with it
- Form submissions are used solely to reply to your inquiry. If you become a client, the same information becomes part of standard project communication. If you don't, the inquiry stays in our inbox; we do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not share or sell the information.
- Aggregate analytics are used to understand which pages help people find what they need and where the site can be improved. Numbers in, decisions out.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever.
- We don't run third-party ad trackers, retargeting pixels, or behavioral profiling.
- We don't drop tracking cookies. (Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless by design.)
- We don't ship your data outside the standard infrastructure providers below.
Who else sees the data
Three providers, each handling a narrow piece:
- Formspree — receives your form submission, then forwards it to us by email. Formspree's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site (Cloudflare Pages) and provides aggregate analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google — only via the public Google Business Profile listing for Mainsail; we do not feed visitor data to Google.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Confirm what we have on file about you (likely just your form submission)
- Correct or update any of it
- Delete it from our inbox and Formspree's records
Email max@mainsail.design with the request. We respond within five business days.
Children
Mainsail is a B2B service for business owners. The site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone in that group.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes that affect existing inquirers will also go out by email.
